What Is Wedding Gown Preservation?

Wedding gown preservation is more than dry cleaning. It is a specialized process designed to clean, protect, and safely store your wedding dress for years to come.

Even when a gown looks clean after the wedding, invisible residue from makeup, champagne, perfume, perspiration, body oils, food, or dirt can remain in the fabric. Over time, these stains can oxidize and cause yellowing or discoloration.

Each gown is individually inspected and treated according to its fabric, construction, lace, beading, and embellishments.

Wedding gown preservation goes further. It not only cleans the gown but also prepares and packages it specifically for long-term storage, helping protect the fabric from yellowing, discoloration, and aging.

Can Accessories Be Preserved Too?

Yes. Many bridal accessories can be preserved together with your gown, including:

When Should I Preserve My Dress?

The sooner, the better.

We recommend preserving your gown within the first few weeks or months after your wedding, before invisible stains have time to oxidize and become permanent.

How Long Does It Take?

Wedding gown preservation typically takes 8–12 weeks.

You will receive updates when your gown is received and when it is on its way back to you.

Can I Open the Preservation Chest?

Yes. You can open the preservation chest if you'd like to see or wear your gown again.

Afterward, simply reseal the chest using the provided sealing materials. If the gown becomes soiled after opening, we recommend having it professionally cleaned and preserved again before storage.
